Suck it up, 'Phil.' Many great live albums have had the audience "sweetened" in the mix, including Wings Over America and Peter Gabriel Plays Live, plus just about every other live album ever produced. The only live albums I know of that were recorded straight to disc are Deep Purple Made In Japan and UFO Strangers In The Night. The ARW show was fabulous. Ask anyone who attended one of the gigs. I for one couldn't care less whether the audience was dubbed or not. Just sayin'...

This lineup is every bit as good as Yes ever got, IMO.

Robbie Coltrane passed away today at 72. Loved him in the 'Cracker' British crime drama series. He also played Hagrid in the Harry Potter franchise. RIP Robbie

Dame Angela Lansbury has died at age 96. 😢 I always enjoyed her acting. A true legend. RIP dear lady.

1976, what a great year.

I was just reading where Peter is on his retirement tour. Apparently he's got a disease that will gradually take away his ability to play the guitar. He can still play well now, but doesn't want to be out touring when he's gotten worse. I wish him well. He's had an amazing career. His two major regrets were releasing the 'I'm In You' album so soon after hitting it big with 'Frampton Comes Alive,' and choosing to appear in the Sgt. Pepper movie, which was a huge flop. I agree on both counts.

Queen Elizabeth has died. May she rest in peace. I was born Canadian, but have always had an affection for the royal family. My mom was born a Brit, in 1938, which is probably where I get my love for the queen.

The Gregorian calendar, currently used in most countries, is derived from the Hebrew calendar, where Sunday is considered the beginning of the week. Although in Judaism the Sabbath is on Saturday, while in Christianity it is on Sunday, Sunday is considered the beginning of the week in both religious traditions.

Well, I've always felt the week began on Sunday. This is probably due to employers in America making a pay period that goes from Sunday to Saturday. On the other hand, Sunday is supposed to have been the seventh day, biblically.

I am terribly sad that our rescue cat we got 14 years ago had to be put down. She came to us with a nasty gash under her front paw. She spent a month wearing a cone with honey applied to the wound. They didn't think it would heal and she'd have to be put down. It did heal, and she followed us all over Ireland and then to the US as we moved for work. Every night after the kids went to bed she'd harangue me for gravy treats, and every morning I'd sit at the table for a glass of water before getting the train she'd jump up and knock her head against me to get a pat. I'll so miss her and our little routines. Sleep tight Annie.

Yeah, I went vinyl shopping at a couple of record shops last weekend and came home with nothing. No way I'm going to pay upwards of 40 to 50 dollars for a record. Even used albums were 20 dollars. I'll stick with digital and Blu-Ray. It's hard because I do want to support the local record shops.
