Jesus christ. Are you on some kind of manned satellite orbiting close to the sun?

When I lost my mother in 2008, it took several years to get over it. My Dad is still alive at the age of 85
Living here in Canada makes it harder being isolated. Now with this Covid crap isolation, it makes it difficult to travel.
Or impossible. My parents still haven't seen their newest grandchild. He's coming up on half a year rapidly and smiles and rolls like no one's business!
Sorry about your mother, I haven't lost a parent yet and can't imagine the grief. Kudos to your dad... A tough generation!!
Just put my parents (both sadly dead) house on the market this week. End of an era - family home for over 40 years
That must be very, very difficult. Condolences and I hope the process goes well.

Just seen a question on House of Games, a BBC quiz show where they have a round called Answer Smash. They show a picture and give a clue, and you have to "smash the answers together". e.g. They showed a pic of an avocado and asked, what is the name of a 3D 12-sided shape - answer, avocadodecahedron. Then a pic of some rhubarb, and asked who played Peggy Mitchell in Eastenders - answer, rhuBarbara Windsor.
They showed a pic of our favourite rock trio and asked who played the title role in Carrie - answer of course, Genesissy Spacek!
Anyway, it was a mention of Genesis in the media. I'm sure you thought it was worth it...
LOVE the mix up of my favorite band and favorite author!

In my cabin on a sleeper train from the Highlands to London. Heading down for the next stage of getting our London flat ready for sale. I'll miss it badly. But it's looked after us and, in a way, it still will be (assuming it sells) - from the likely proceeds we'll be able to get a detached 3-bedroom house in Inverness with a big pile of change left over.
I hope I'll get in and out and sell it before the next national lockdown!
Hard to say goodbye to some places. I remember when we moved out of the place our oldest learned to walk and ride her bike (and where we had our second) how hollow I felt. I can still vividly remember her running away from me down a long sloping corridor, laughing hysterically (presumably because she realised she could escape me). We had to move as we'd outgrown the place but still, it felt like a transition away from a lighter hearted phase of life.
To echo CountingOutTime, good luck!

Forgive my ignorance, but who are these girls
The Pierces. That's the cover of their album 'Creation'.

OK, well, this is going to seem really anticlimactic...
LAMB (LP 1) and ABACAB are the only Genesis LPs where the longest track is on the side with the most tracks!
"In the Cage" is on Side 1 of LAMB, with 6 tracks (vs. 5 for Side 2).
"Dodo/Lurker" is on Side 2 of ABACAB, with 5 tracks (vs. 4 for Side 1).
Now for what I hope is a better question:
Twice in Genesis' discography, a title reveals a very specific thing about the song itself. What are the two titles? (Hint: They're in different Genesis eras.)
Mind. Blown.
Is one of the tracks Los Endos. It's the end/last song.
And Abacab, for the song structure (even though it's a different structure apparently).

I don't think I've ever thought about a set of songs so hard in my life.
Output: zero, niente, diddlysquat, nil, bupkes.
A bottle of prosseco, or whiskey or something to the askerer if we could arrange it!

Autumn has arrived.
Yes it has!
And I still like to call it Autumn, here in the land of fall.

Would anyone care to join me in calling on DecomposingMan to just tell us? But I'd understand if people want to go all Mrs Doyle ("NO CLUES!") and insist on getting the answer no matter how long it takes. (I don't suppose the answer is 'Father Todd Unctious'?)
yes! I'm sure we've had ten guesses (wasn't that the rule?), think it's time to put us out of our misery! (Figure of speech, I've enjoyed the hunt for the answer!)
Edit: ok there's a new clue. Maybe keep going a little.

Digesting every word the experts say - Counting Out Time

April 2022 maybe.
-
The only silver lining is that the public health measures in place seem to have crushed the flu season so far. So the feared twin threat of flu and covid combining to cause our health systems to explode in flames mightn't turn out to be a thing.
I still think a tour in April ain't gonna happen though.
