Came home today to find my copy from Amazon has arrived! Happy to say even with the limited product description it is the 2019 remastered heavy vinyl. 👍🏻
I'm glad my hunch of going only by the release date was a good one and getting this for under $30.00 US was a steal.
Gonna give it a spin later tonight and was wondering what everyone else thinks of it? Any opinions?
So what's your opinion then?

ouch. Never noticed that. Will check that again.
Sorry - I exaggerated!
Not exactly missing, but so low in the mix that you have make a real effort to hear what is one of the best closing sections of any live track on any live album.

All we need is Nick Davies to produce a 5.1 surround version of the original. Simples!
-
Thanks
Nick has confirmed to us it's his 2008 mix. I have added that information to our news item.
So let's see how that sounds on vinyl.
I really enjoyed the version in the Live Boxset.
Overall it's a decent remix but what on earth happened to the drum fills at the end of Afterglow?
MIA on the 5.1 surround mix - almost unforgivable!
-
What on earth made Mike think that attempting that solo was a good idea?
To be honest, I think it's rather an embarrassing effort.
-
Smaller venues. I wonder if their departure from the Gabriel set list replication in Extravaganza Part 1 wasn't that well received??
-
Have just placed my order for this after several listens on Spotify.
Really looking forward to hearing the 5.1 surround mix.
-
I have the 5.1 of A Night At The Opera too!
Me too! Love listening to this, even though I'm not a huge Queen fan.

Rising Sun...
No I don't believe it was that, Gary has found touring difficult with some troubles for his family over 2018. For example his landlord decided to terminate his rent agreement on his home in High Wycombe far earlier than expected, simply because the landlord wanted to sell it. That happened whilst Gary was on tour.
Stuff like that has informed Gary's decision to take time out for family...
TGA
Thanks - sorry for over-analysing the situation!
Cheers,
RS

Steve and Gary obviously fell out over something - do we know what the issue was?
-
I still think there are some big missed opportunities here but, actually, the new surround mix of Serpentine Song is worth the price alone!

A Groovy Kind of Love - Mr. Philip Collins
Of course I'm not embarrassed

SH could have done much more with this given the quality of the music. Quite disappointing considering the cost and the fact that Steve usually tries to do 'the right thing' for his long standing fans.

For me it was Dunstable on 28 April 1983 - Highly Strung

Great to know that JD is watching this part of the Board!
Any Ant-related question; if Jonathan doesn't know the answer then AP probably doesn't know either!

I saw Musical Box in Basingstoke. Not great; their departure from replicating entire shows from the 70s wasn't brilliant.
Their 'medley' was very stop-start with some of the segues a bit of a shambles. And playing Hackett-era material with two guitars is just plain wrong. Worst of all was the drum 'sound': way too loud in the mix and nothing like anything heard originally or in concert (I have the bootlegs!). I don't question the drummer's abilty; technically very good indeed but disappointing in 'style'.They used to be unique in their approach. Now just another (expensive) tribute band, imho.
