A wonderful song - also perfect for the finale of live shows. It's so positive and for me a "happy" counterpart for things like Biko or Secret world.

Not the biggest Hackett fan here. I first heard this track many many years ago, when a friend of mine gave me a CD with Hackett solo stuff - after I discovered the band. I did not know at the time that Steve had a long solo career.
This track was catchy and (among others) made me curious. I haven't discovered all of Hackett solo yet but I do have most of the rock albums now.
11 points here.

Oh - interesting!!!
I was not aware this existed. Thx for sharing.

Actually I am getting a bit tired of those "Genesis Revisited" tours. I am not that familiar with his solo stuff but would go see him if he did just that (for a change).
Just my 2 ct ...

11 - great track on a good album

15 as well from my side ... one of his best and live just outstaning. I do like the slightly longer studio version a lot (as featured on the Flotsam collection).

Tony Levin says goodbye ..

doesn't sound like there's much to expect for 2024
A concert film would be nice, also for all fans who could not attend for one reason (too far away) or another (too expensive).

I haven't checked this site through properly for a few days. I've put something on it the thread. I'd like the boxed set which comes out on March 8th provided there are no delays of course.
what boxset are you talking about?

I really prefer the Dark-Side mix. A much better atmosphere and mood.
I am more on the bright side here. Quite significant differences when the track starts, but less when it ends. Interesting ...

Definitely missing the strings, as compared to the live version. Perhaps we'll hear them in the Bright Side Mix, coming in a couple weeks
? There are strings, quite prominently, in the second half of that song. Peter also talks about this in the full moon video.

Is there a better way to start a career? It’s perfect. And doesn’t age …

13 from me.
It's a highlight on "The Lamb", but rather short, so I'll leave 14 or 15 for other tracks.

Great news. Hoping for more Mechanics shows!
Didn't he perform at another charity thing with Mike & The Mechanics recently?
-
by chance, we know someone who actually has them. That helped a lot to find details about the tracks.
First - thanks for all those details. Amazing work!
Second - sadly, I doubt we will ever get to hear this. Phil is retired and I don't think there is a lot motivation to make this stuff available. Then again, I wonder how such a tape can end up in private hands ...?
Third - I hope I am wrong

Yes, the official sites usually habe this blue dot as proof they are the only official site.
Those scam sites appear daily and nearly every artist has to deal with it. Best thing is simply ignoring anything like that, especially when this site/page wants to be your friend.

Of all his albums, this is my least favorite. Probably because I am not really into cover albums. A song here and there on his albums is okay, but a whole album takes away a lot for me ...
