Whodunnit. Go big or go home.

That song is a masterpiece and deserves respect.

Any word yet if Jesus He Knows Me and/or Hold On My Heart have been restored? Or same as yesterday?
No idea, but in other good news, Phil changed his T-Shirt tonight
Display MoreComing back to the setlist, I really wonder why they kept Throwing It All Away, Tonight and Invisible Touch...
Phil played 2 of these songs on his solo tour, exactly the same way.
And TTT does not have any purpose played that way, I think.
I know IT is "the big hit", so it's complicated to do without it. But you know...
2 songs from IT is enough - but essential ! - for me (and these two songs, LOC and Domino are the basis of the show in a way).
I would have left room for other songs (From Trick...).
I really like Carpet Crawlers (personal favorite), but I would have preferred a more energetic closing. They did it in 1998 and 2007, so it would been a nice change. Musical Box in E or D Major could have worked, I think.
Anyway...() what a great show it seemed to be !
TTT has to stay in, but yeah, I can happily do with IT and would have liked Abacab to have been in the set personally.
If anyone is going tonight and recording videos, please record and show clips that haven't been seen as yet, a lot of people posted the same songs and parts, so woul dbe nice to see other songs and sections etc
Might be a guitar tech for Mike and Daryl. It looks like there is a rack of guitars next to him.
That could be it.
I know it was mentioned somewhere earlier that in the programme they also list a third guitarist.
Does anyone know who the person is at the back of the stage with the guitar?
Can see in this clip on the left of the backing singers
From the videos posted online, he seems to be there all show with a guitar
I'm still hoping that by some miracle, I can do a London show.
I doubt it. They may be hard to learn but Nic would have done it, no problem. I'd say there were other considerations.
Mike usually was the guy who didn't want to play Suppers Ready especially in it's full form, but there was no way Phil could have got through A9/8 - he struggled enough with Home by the Sea in parts last night.
Thanks for posting that - I learned quite a bit about Chester that I didn't know before from it.
Yes, it's such a great intelligent and in depth interview and review of his career and very honest too.
It's a shame that he and Phil ended the way they did.
I see Phil was reading the words for a few of the songs tonight.
I know he has a history of messing up words, especially on his own solo songs and as you get older it can only get harder i'm sure when you've been away for so many years.
I'm glad that he is still coming out performing but I do wish he had maybe done a Genesis reunion around 2015 - 2017 when he was a little more healthier.
Can't say I love that set list...too similar to 2007, right down to recycling the same opening and closing songs. No "Jesus"? One of the big "surprises"? And I love "Hold on My Heart," so I miss that too. I expected at least a tease of "Supper's Ready," and that oldies medley is extremely disappointing. Sucks "Abacab" didn't make it, either.
Phil sounds good, I even think his feeble voice works on "DWTMK." I'm hoping clips of "Duchess" and this new "Lamb" appear shortly.
Nic already said ages ago they dropped a few after the initial rehearsals including any Suppers Ready parts, even though he had learned them.
What about 'That's All?'
They sang that in the acoustic set
A few questions;
-was Duchess the full version?
-Was Tonight Tonight Tonight the shortened version that bridges into Invisible Touch?
-How much of Moonlit Knight was played?
There are a number of videos doing the rounds for most songs.
I think doing I can't Dance probably wasn't ideal for this tour, seeing Phil trying to do the crotch swing sitting in a chair.
nope. Both were played in North America and so
In London
They would switch Mama and Dreaming While you Sleep often. I think only on certain nights did they do both.
I couldn't see it had been mentioned or posted before.
Chester recently did an interview about his career and mentions a lot of interesting things re Genesis and also his falling out with Phil.
Which may mean the picture of set list on t shirt not quite accurate, unless dropped late in the date. Don't think seen a t shirt with the setlist on before, and seems a bit of a shame if proved to be correct
Apparently the show started late, so maybe they cut two songs?
BTW, i heard Phil signing Home by the Sea and he didn't sound good.
