I don’t like the vocal part. The grand finale is outstanding and I enjoy this during every hackett show ….

Notes: You can write a lot about Mama, but you can't really grasp the song. It's controversial, minimalist in structure. Cynics say it would be nothing without Collins' laugh. The sound, the atmosphere, the whipping drums, Collins' voice at its best - Mama became an extraordinary world hit. -
15 Years … really?
Yes, Helsinki, 11th June 2007 - first gig of the tour.

Listening to the samples, the melodies are pleasant and excellent.
Unfortunately I don't like instrumental tracks and songs too long.
nearly all tracks have vocals, but yes, it's an extensive album. As our reviewer writes: It makes sense he takes his time to built up the atmosphere. I quite enjoy the album as well.
-
Has he given any indication it won't be called I/O though? The important details, I know...
Have to say, I'm very curious how this will sound.
he said back in 2002 a follow up Album is due within 18 months and this will be called I/O.
Of course this became less and less relevant as time went by.

40 yars ago today, GENESIS have released their third live album "Three Sides Live".
Did you buy the album back in 1982? What are your thoughts today?
This is our review: https://bit.ly/3amMAMq

Well it looks like the 2nd part of my post from last year is answered. All we need now is for the album to come out in September. Though I'd put my money on 23.59 on 31 December.
And will it still be called I/O?
I don’t think so! For the website feature, it makes sense to use the name until we are told otherwise. So it’s more a Synonyme for the new album.

Seems we are getting closer, and a tour 2023 is coming:

The album was released today, there are not many CDs left, while the digital download is of course without limits.

Notes: Steve Hackett is generally regarded as the Genesis musician who has held the band's flag aloft the longest. This refers mainly to his further development of the prog rock of the early years. His debut album was an impressive record, often referred to as the best Genesis album Genesis never recorded. One of the longs, Shadow Of The Hierophant, is our track of the week. -
Another year has passed - Still was released on this day in 1991. The poll about your facvorite tracks on page 1 is still running.
