I believe they started doing that on the "Stripped Down" leg of the Growing Up Tour in 2003 (North America)

It was a new recording. Hackett said afterwards that a lot of stuff he did for this new version wasn't used in the end.
Nevertheless, they were not in the studio at the same time.

Quite late, I guess I am in the majority of Genesis fans who already got this book in English. I hope the German translation will be of quality. I have Mike's and Phil's books in German and they are full of typos.
"quite late" is always easy to write, but of course these things are not as easy as they may look like. IÄm quite happy for many German fans that a publisher decided to do that.
The translation wasn't done in a rush and the translator is also a Genesis fan ... so I suppose it will be good quality

From his facebook site:
In 2018 the Japanese record company Marquee released six of Ant's albums on their Belle Antique label in mini vinyl card sleeves, with the bonus CDs for The Geese & The Ghost, Wise After The Event and Sides being included with those albums. Whilst the additional disc for Wise After The Event was readily accommodated by the original gatefold sleeve design for that album, Marquee came up with these unique cover designs for the bonus CDs included with the other two titles.

Except Daryl was at FLF. But the director didn't ask for him to be in the live performance.
Meanwhile, this is an extra on the red 1983 to 1998 boxset. So hardly a new find.
TGA
nobody said it's a new find. I also posted that it's on the 83-98 extra DVD.
Still, it may be new for some fans

Was looking for the complete documentary as well - but can’t find it. Can anybody help?

Horst Königstein is the man behind the German Peter Gabriel albums - he created the German lyrics. He didn't simply translate them...
We (the German Genesis Fanclub it) have conducted an interview with Horst Königstein back in 1997. It was first published in our printed magazine #24 (March 1998) and then later we made it available on our German website as well.
We have now translated that interview into English language and I am sure you will find this intersting. So enjoy ...

I'm not sure we'll ever get a "complete" list. There's still stuff coming out of the woodwork, such as the Neil Innes single which John Anthony mentioned just a few weeks ago.
Phil Morris
We will have a Phil Collins Recording Compendium at some point...

I must admit - I have not heard it for years now and can't even remember the song. Will check later today

For a Canadian band, maybe the new Brexit visa and border crossing policies will not have such a heavy impact as stated by several UK artists like Fish and Elton John. They have said that now Brexit makes it much more difficult and unfeasible for them to tour the EU. We'll have to wait and see how all this post-covit pans out eventually but for sure, it will never be the same sadly.
I (also) work for one of the promoters, who does Germany, Netherlands and Scandinavia. This, in this case, has noting to do with Covid or Brexit, it's just a problem to get all shows in one period - after the first covid postponements the market was in total chaos and we simply couldn't find additional dates besides Germany and Netherlands, that's all.
SO the decision was made to postpone the already confirmed dates to 2022 - just to allow us to add more shows and make this leg feasable.

Thanks Christian, first time I have seen that video.
you're welcome
and, by the way, the video is also part of the 1983-1998 Bonus Disc DVD. (just in case someone was wondering)

I’m sure this video will be new for some of you.
Tony Smith received the Peter Grant Award in a ceremony in 2000 - and Genesis (without Chester) played an interesting short concert to honor him.
interesting, this was only two years after the tour with Ray Wilson.External Content youtu.beContent embedded from external sources will not be displayed without your consent.Through the activation of external content, you agree that personal data may be transferred to third party platforms. I don't think it will still be called I/O. And actually I don't really care anymore what it will be called, he just needs to release a bloody new record with new music.

An expanded reissue of From Genesis to revelation is out soon on Cherry Red.
indeed
So maybe they have finally obtained the rights? In this case, why have they chosen a different Record Company compared to their other albums?
so it looks more like some kind of licensed release.
