Yes, it's not really exciting. I hope for something a little more personal.

I wonder if they'll also start releasing live versions of i/o songs, leading up to the (presumed) live dvd next year. Then again, he already did this for i/o, so he may not want to repeat himself this way.
I wouldn't find that really exciting as I'm not a fan of live albums in general (except for Plays Live )

Belgium #4 and #2 (they have to different regions, as always
Christophe L - can you explain whether or not they are both equally valid?
V is for Vlanderen with counts for 57% of total population in Belgium. W for Wallonia counts for approx 33%.

Would be so wonderful!
I still remember reading an interview of Alan Parker (Birdy's director)in the eighties who said he heard amazing tracks that did not make it on
album 4, but for him they were as strong as the released material.
-
Some old unreleased tracks from the 80' s or 90's would be amazing.
John has a headache, I go swimming (with vocals) etc..

I can't precisely rate each track. There are too many that I really like.
And some tracks are growing like I/O with I found too simple at first, but now I find it's melody quite strong and I love the lyrics.
It's a great experience to listen to the whole album. The Atmos Mixes sound so good on my 5.1 system. It's very different from the AirPods experience. I wasn't convinced by some of the Atmos mixes on AirPods. The balance felt sometimes a little weird.
My #1's are
So Much
And Still
Strong #2:
Playing For Time
Four Kinds Of Horses
Love Can Heal
Live And Let Live
Excellent #3:
Road To Joy
Panopticom
The Court
i/o
and good #4 :
Olive Tree
This Is Home

I like the track a lot. It sounds fresh to my ears, and it is also quite ambitious and creative to my ears.
I prefer the dark side mix. It has much more mood and I like its balance better.
Overall for I/O I think Mark Spike Stent is an amazing mixer, there is a fanstastic sound quality in his mixes, but Tchad Blake has a better feeling for PG's songs. He brings out more atmosphere.
-
I find the song ambitious, profound but also accessible.
I was very moved the first time I heard the recording ...
-
I really like a lot most of the tracks.
For the moment my ranking would be
And still
Four kinds of horses
So much
Playing for time
The court
Panopticom
Road to Joy
Love can heal
This is home
I/O
Olive tree

Very moving and beautiful song🔆
I/O contains so many strong songs.
I still can't really rate it, but it's amongst his best albums.

Very interesting Full Moon video. Peter referenced the change in artwork. He also said he probably carry on with the Full Moon releases ‘next time around’… whether that means for the surplus stuff after i/o or when the next album is ready (in 1-20 years 😃), I’m not sure. The middle section of This Is Home is interesting; I don’t recall this being played on the tour.
It unfortunately probably means he won't go on and continue with the releases immediately after the last I/O track

The majority of OVO never was recorded by Peter in a PG version. He offered Son Of Ovo to his American record company at the time, but they wanted to do HIT. So that never was finished. Make Tomorrow Today is an exception. White Ashes was played live but to this day there is no reliable info whether or not a studio version exists.
I'm not sure about that. If Pg offered it to his record company it means it was close to be finished. He wouldn't have proposed something if there was still a lot of work to be done on it
Also I remember an old interview of Richard chappell in SOS where he talked about working on son of Ovo.
I really hope we'll be able to hear that version sometime.

Plenty of options. It's also quite possible he keeps doing full moon releases and doesn't do a follow up physical record.
In the end we do not know what the future brings for Peter. It's quite possible that i/o will be his last album. Anything beyond is a bonus.
Yes of course. For me I/O is already kind of an unexpected bonus !
Most likely I think (I hope) he'll go on with the full moon releases. Probably not enough tracks for another full album. But it could be completed with The Veil, Baby Man or other unreleased tracks. In his interview he talked about wanting to find a home (an album) for some of those tracks. As you say, we'll see ...
-
There probably won't be any bonus track for I/O if he plans to release a second album (O/I ?)

Hello friends of the forum
After the session at WOMAD could someone who is attending please let us know what impression you got from the album i/o and if there is talk of a release date on LP/cd. Also could you let us know how long it is and which versions are Bright or Dark, for example.
The session at womad will play the Atmos mixes.

It was before ‘Olive Tree’ and I’ve just found a clip on YouTube: “…and in this particular story, which is the next project after i/o and possibly o/i”.
Therefore, if it’s part of that story, it’s possible that ‘Olive Tree’ won’t be on i/o? Although ‘Road to Joy’ is on i/o and is part of the ‘brain project’…
Thank you so much for finding this!
He doesn’t sound like he’s joking with OI…?
Yes all these stories about the "next project" are a bit confusing😅
how can road to joy also be linked to the next project? 🤨 ?
Peter's mind is as always fast and hard to follow
-
He mentioned ‘o/i’ as a potential follow-up project to ‘i/o’ at the London show, and I couldn’t tell whether he was joking or not.
Do you know before with song? Is there a YT video of it ?

From what I remember from the concert " and still " isn't a short track either. We'll see. The one hour anouncement seems a little approximative. It could easily be 63 minutes
