Struggled with this. I feel Steve's best days are behind him and while I understand the Genesis regurgitation has brought greater exposure, I just don't think his solo material is as strong as it once was. Steve has been pretty eclectic across his solo career but while the style of this track is different at the outset. I feel some of the sections sound like various ideas strung together. Personally, I feel that while certain songs from the last 5 studio albums are superb, Darktown, imho, is the last solid studio album he has produced. I know it pays the bills but just wish he concentrated on his back catalogue of numerous superb songs which has been reduced by the Genesis material. Phil and Peter managed fine with a large back catalogue of original material.

Got all 5 in lossless format. Guess where they will be heading soon ?

For Noni, COT and Genesis 1964. Pay attention and have a listen to the attached sampler from an amazing band. IQ, Genesis and Unitopia spring to mind.

Francis Lickerish recorded a follow up under his own name.
I assume you know Francis was in the Enid in the 70s?

I will have to check I have that one
Far and Forgot from the Lost Lands is the name of the album.

This was the last BBT album I bought. I know they've had a few out since then but, as good as they are, they've started to sound a bit 'samey' to my ears. Nowt wrong with that of course, but they don't interest me as much as they used to. Each to their own, of course. I think my favourite album by them is still The Difference Machine.
Completely agree. Too folk inflenced, songs overlong and a lack of a memorable tune post EE output.

I know someone else who loves this band as well
I wonder who that could be?

It was 1 of the 4 discs in the Ray Thomas box set issued by Esoteric in 2010, I have a signed copy!
Love Rays work but not paying that price

From Mighty Oaks - Ray Thomas. In 5.1 surround * on my new 5.1 surround system. Taken the plunge at last, not a top end system , just a Denon AVR-X250BT and JBL Cinema 510 speakers. Special offer to Richer Sounds VIP customers, £299 the lot. Impressive though, and having accumulated several albums over recent times, 2 Moodies, 2 Tim Bowness, and at least 5 Steve Hackett albums, plus Ray's, I thought it was about time. All the DVD's too.
* Ray's album is only 4 channel, like the early Moodies albums, as they used the original 70's quad mixes, Done at Threashold, the Moodies own studio, and the first in the UK to be built with quad in mind.
Where did you source this? I wasn't aware this had come out in multi channel format.

Just got brand new album.

First Queen album I bought, played it to death, still got the vinyl too. At the time, Bohemian Rhapsody was new and exciting, not overplayed like it is now. Only song on that album I wasn't fussy on was Sweet Lady.
Favourite Queen album and it in 5.1 too

Done!...

Right now -

Next is by Karunesh - "Sky's Beyond"' from album of same name
