It was interesting at first, but became more and more boring. Phil’s talking is really slow, seems that’s his normal pace these days.

checked this out this morning, thanks for posting.
Did he say “England could be delayed again”? 🤔 -
I suggest you try Guitar Noir, which probably is the start into Steve’s later career. It’s a lighter album than most of what follows, but it’s full of great tracks.

Peter's first album is probably my least favorite. I do have sympathies for Moribund and I acknowledge the quality of Solsbury Hill (didn't vote for that track), so I picked Humdrum, Flood and Moribund.

I think - in general - it's fascinating to look closer at the output of the band AND the solo careers in the 80ies. I catually do like IT - it's so straight forward and powerful. Gabriel's So has more attention to detail, but I wouldn't necessarily say it's better for that reason. I like it a bit more, simple as that.

I like his collaboration with Fish, Another murder ...
Then I wanna change the score (no idea why that didn't become a hit single)
And Still it takes ... - wonderful Banks tune.

White shadow (!!!!)
Home sweet home
On the air
tough choice, Scratch is a secret favorite of mine in general.

So, Mercy Street was #1 for a while here, but now it's Red Rain. Unsurprisingly, Big Time does not have that many fans (though I must admit, I like to listen to this when I'm out for a running workout)
No surprise I think. Red rain is one of his all time best tracks, I'm sure it would also be on top of a general Gabriels songs poll result.

For me ... BIKO!
Then the great Intruder and Family snapshot (was very happy he did that during the Back to front tour!)

I am not a musician, but I like experts doing reviews like this, although this is pure maths probably - without the emotion that is always attached to the music. Will check this out later, thx for sharing!

... talking about the coolness of I have the touch in the other threas - on So that's Excellent birds. That's one of those tracks that seems to be very different from the rest of the album, but adds a lot to is as a whole.
Red rain and That voice again are my other choices. Mercy street is also very good, but I played it too much I believe

A love / hate album for me. Sometimes I can't listen to that one and prefer II or III. Favorite tracks vary, currently Wallflower and I have the touch (there's something cool about I have the touch that can't be found elsewhere quite often, hard to describe). Third one Rhythm of the heat

And Digging is a monster, especially live.
without a doubt.
But Secret world even beame a bigger monster live. Very powerful!

Well, about a new album - I wonder how many of the tracks Peter initally wanted to use for I/O will end up on the final record. He must have had a clear idea what would end up on I/O, possibly Nocturnal, Baby man, I'm amazing etc - but I think none of those tracks will be considered (some of them were used elsewhere anyway).
What do you think?

oh ... my favorite album
Love to be loved (one of his best, imo)
Digging ...
Secret world

Thanks for sharing this info
actually it will be a bit strange to see background singers in a Genesis show ... I have mixed feelings. -
That’s Sky Blue, I grieve and ... Barry Williams show.
I know BWS ja not that popular but I always liked that track.

I actually like Phil singing the older stuff (same with Ray, by the way). The quality of this video is just great. Thanks for sharing (hope more is coming)

Hey everybody
I read the article „Making of I/O“ on this website:
https://www.genesis-news.com/c…he-Making-Of-IO-s161.html
So, after years of exploring the past and doing orchestra stuff, now it’s time for new new new music. I know there were hints some years ago a new album might be in the final mixing stage l, but I believe Peter’s wife also got sick back then.
I also believe Peter will at least do one more tour. But for me, a new album is more important.
What do you think? Will we see a new studio album? And when?
