In one he attributes it to a DJ based in Norfolk in east England
North Norfolk Digital? Alan Partridge?

Can you give any specific examples of this?
I don't personally have anything to hand right now, but I remember from discussions at the time on the old forum that the 'tech experts' were posting audio wave charts and stuff showing the the old dynamic peaks and troughs had been massively compressed.
Even now though, these remixes sound uniformly loud all the way through; the contrasts have largely been wiped out.
all being re mastered as well by some of the top names in the business
If we're really talking about re-mastering, as opposed re-mixing, I am rather sceptical as to how much better these albums can actually sound.
That said, the excellent Nick Davis re-mixes were ruined by very poor re-mastering resulting in terrible compression issues.
I can't see from the link posted above which 'top names' are actually doing the re-mastering or what source tapes are being used.
I'll reserve judgement, but it could be a winner!
I'm increasingly bored of the whole drip-drip release thing
PG obviously thinks this is all very clever / innovative / funny / cutting edge
When he finally releases an actual album, then I'll find three favourite tracks.....
I love the live version on Seconds Out, particularly the intro with the quiet hi-hat counting in and the surprised cheers of the audience when the band kicks in.
I love that SO intro as well. Call me pedantic, but I reckon it's 3 stick-to-sticks (is that a thing?), one hi-hat and then they're in big time!
Very nice version - prefer this vocal to any of Nad's that I've heard.
Great track, but why does Peter sing it as Panapticom and not Panopticom?
Really hope an official release of the recording can be made available for purchase so that more funds can be raised for such a good cause.
Very nice prints and the provenance is first class with the accompanying letter.
Unfortunately though, there doesn't appear to be any edition size stated.
If they were a numbered limited edition, it would be easier to attract interested buyers.
Good luck!
Unless there's an eBay history of similar items being sold, price discovery is very difficult. For niche collectibles it's mostly a matter of what somebody else is prepared to pay.
If the stars are aligned and someone wants to buy exactly what you're offering, at the time you're selling it, there's usually a deal to be done.
Good luck.
Yes, exactly. Would really be a big surprise if a surround mix of any kind wasn't part of a physical release.
I really want the surround mix(es) to be sold separately.
It's hugely frustrating when they are only included in mega-expensive box sets including vinyl (which I don't want), CD versions (unnecessary) and silly little trinkets like key rings, fake road crew passes, postcards, etc.
To be honest, I'm getting really bored of PG's antics here. I'm not sure if he thinks this whole album speculation thing and the full moon release schedule fiasco is funny, clever or a super-sophisticated marketing gimmick.
In any event, the novelty has well and truly worn off as far as I'm concerned.
But no matter how much this pisses me off (which is a lot), I know I can't help myself and I'm going to buy whatever surround sound versions finally emerge!
(See what they did there, "The Road" (Steve's band before Genesis).
Not scoring points or trying to be a smart arse, but the band was Quiet World and the album was 'The Road'
The surround mixes of both were nice and put a little more air and separation into the sound that brought a fresh take to albums that I nearly wore out when they were first released.
Agreed - the 5.1 mixes by Nick Davis were really well done. The mastering, on the other hand..... !
To be honest, I'm not sure why anybody would want to listen in anything other than chronological order. Then you can hear how the changes have, hopefully, improved the final result and assess Nick's mixing credentials.
The melody of the verses sounds, to my ears, very reminiscent of PG's version of The Book of Love. But that's a good thing imho.
We can assume there will some kind of additional surround version.
I really hope you're right but can we really assume that?
the Lamb was always licensed. They decided to renew it for this ongoing tour but then not more Lamb shows. They will then continue with selling
I get that it's a commercial decision to a large extent, but it's not like TMB are in imminent danger of trashing the Genesis legacy through inferior performances or anything like that.
But then again, I wouldn't want to be sitting opposite Tony Smith in any kind of licencing discussion on what can or can't be played
Thanks for the first impressions. Did you take any photos you can share? Anything else that could be interesting?
*Tim* Bowness.
A great talent, and all round good egg. Though I recognise his voice can be divisive.
Ironic misspelling by me after the MC at the gig referred to him as Tim Bowman, and then in response Tim himself joked about being called Tim Boner
