With Peter Gabriel touring in 1977 until early November, he did not have much time to record demos for his second album. He used the live situation to try out some candidates for his second album: On The Air, Indigo (Song Without Words), White Shadow, Animal Magic and D.I.Y.. A demo recording of Flotsam & Jetsam had already been recorded before his first album. (see part 1)
The recording sessions for his second album took place in New York and other places in winter 1977/78 ...
