Last night my TV has just packed in.
My LG 55" LCD , not even 3 years old has broken down 
. Going go for a cheap 32" as a temporary fix to watch movies and TV shows. Looking at a Toshiba 32" for $149 @ 720p.... I know the problem as well. It's the main motherboard. LG TV's suffer dry joints on their boards. I cannot seem to find a suitable parts place.
The TV works, but only in menu mode and other displays , but will not show videos and ends up in a cloudy coloured line mist.
