silver anniversary!
Dance Into The Light was released 25 years ago today
This is our favorite tracks album poll:
Your favorite tracks on ... "Dance Into the Light"
And this is our review from 1996 (originally in our old printed German magazines, translated for the website several years ago)

I have added the Brooklyn show as an option for voting on page 1 of this thread. You can add this / change your vote any time.
The Glasgow show has not been rescheduled yet, but when they do, it will be in the OVO HYDRO
Which is the same venue, but the sponsor changed
I saw 14 shows across the Atlantic (London 2003 included) and all shows were full, some sold out.
But - UP was 10 years after US and Peter hasn't been touring for 8 years. At the time he said he was testing waters in North America. Since that worked, they added European shows and then this tour went on forever.
(my prsonal best shows on that tour were Montreal II, Cologne and Brighton)
After that, Peter toured a lot and enjoyed unexpected success with Scratch My Back, so I wouldn't guess it's that reason why he didn't release new music.
I'm going to guess that if they do want to expand this out, they want to make sure that countries are fully open. There are still restrictions in Ireland on large events. I'm thinking there must be in Germany also as they have 4000 Covid cases a day compared to our 50,000! We will be re-introducing restrictions again here soon if we aren't careful. Hopefully it will be business as usual by March.
at the moment the situation is different in Germany - depending on the region. Events can take place. Less that 1,000 spectators is not a problem, above that some venues to Cured or Vaccinated only restrictions. And I expect that to happen for 2022, since larger shows have been announced.
At the moment, you cannot enter a pub or restaurant without showing proof od vax, being cured or tested (again, depends on the region), but in general everything open again.
assuming they won't do more than 20 shows in one go, we habe three London shows, one Glasgow and Belfast and two Dublin.
So approx 13 are left. That's not a lot for mainland Europe.
The only Eels album I have is Beautiful Freak, which I quite like. So if I were to explore another album, which should I pick?
Blinking Lights
and my favorite: Tomorrow Morning
A couple of unnecessary comments here recently. Please don't insult each other and stay on topic, thanks.
We had them once as one of the live acts during the 2009 Steve Hackett Event in Remscheid, Germany. Nice guys, great band - enjoyable for sure.
many people (including myself) name 'a trick of the tail' among their favourite genesis albums. however, the singles from this album -the title track and entangled- charted very poorly, if at all. it's a pity, because 'a trick of the tail' includes a few songs that could have worked well as singles, the same way that i know what i like did.
Genesis actually were not a singles band at that time, not like Queen or something similar to that. They were more an album band, like Floyd. Of course we will never find out what might have happened, had they been promoted differently.
Also, I don't think the value / ranking of an album should be related to hit singles
Looks like Mr E aka EELS will release a new album soon. I must say, the last 2-3 albums were not really exciting in my opinion, but I probably will always follow what he does, so this one won't be an exception.
The new one is called Extreme Witchcraft and is due for a January 2022 release.

Ali Ferguson has launched a campaign to support the release of his third solo album, The Contemplative Power Of Water.
Personally, I really liked his first two albums, see reviews here:

Details about his Crowdfunding Campaign are available in our news here:

Quote from Jazz Buffalo (https://jazzbuffalo.org/event/…ounge-philippe-lemm-trio/)
"Angelo lived a very full, giving, and productive life. He also lived his adult life with anxiety and depression."
There is also the fact that his family chose to support this cause : The National Alliance on Mental Illness – New York.
Oh dear - wasn't aware of that. I was in touch with Adam yesterday, offering "them" a little interview to support the release. He then told me ...
I haven't listened to it yet (and the queue is pretty long, so it'll be a while), but the most recent episode of the Tabletop Genesis Podcast is all about this album. A while back, they did an interview with one of the guys (I don't remember if it was before or after the one's passing, so I don't know who the interview was with), but it talked about why they got into Genesis in the first place, and how they do the arrangements. It was a good interview, though I can't point out which episode that was.
Regardless, as I said, the most recent episode is specifically about this new album, just released. So give it a listen if you've the interest.
That's why I have included this infoamtion in our news item about the Genesis Piano Project yesterday

Entangled [7:05]

More details can be found in our nws item here (I recommend to listen to some tracks on YouTube)

Right and he's been rumored to be considering the Genesis reunion tour....Of 2007.
2005 To be precise. But he left the room back then and the possibility faded away
I think the legend of him finishing that album actually pre-dates his covers orchestral albums.
it does. He said in august 2002 that there would be another album within 18 months
