This is a little sensation. A while ago a youtube snippet has surfaced, showing Genesis perform in the year 1970. This was the earliest ever video footage (or at least a snippet of it) that has seen the light of day until today. The footage features Anthony Phillips and John Mayhew and it was recorded during the Atomic Sunrise Festival 1970 (9 - 15 March) at the Roundhouse in London, England, shortly before the band was signed to Charisma Records.
Now, the film will be screened at the original place - the Roundhouse in London - on 11th and 12th March 2012. Besides Genesis, the film also features live recordings from David Bowie and Hawkwind. There will be two screenings on 11th March and one further Screening on 12th March. All proceeds of the screening will be used for further editing of the film.
