After two years of touring in Europe, following the release of the latest album The Road, Mike + The Mechanics will be back in 2013. The focus will be on the 25th anniversary of Living Years, as Mike has revealed in an interview with us (click here to read the interview).
In May, the band will play a couple of shows in Europe. It's not clear at the moment whether or not these shows will already be "Living Years 25"-shows or just a couple of shows prior to that. In any case - shows are planned for Europe and are currently being put together. On 16th May, the band will play 500m below ground (!) in an old salt mine in Merkers, Germany. The salt mine is now used for guided tours, events of all kinds and also live-concerts - Ray Wilson played two sold out shows there earlier this year. Tickets for the Mechanics are available at this link (the site is in German only). According to rumours, additional shows will take place in Zürich (Switzerland) and Siegen (also Germany), but no detailed information is available yet. More dates for spring will be announced towards February. We will keep you updated.
Some say it is one of the best Live-Albums ever. Genesis' Seconds Out became a milestone and also marked the end of the classic years.
