Things now follow fast on each other’s heels: After the new album Going Back was announced and the ticket sales for four gigs in New York City started (cf. our tour dates page) there is another real treat for the fans.
Everybody who signs up to the mailing list at Phil Collins’ official web site is sent a new song for free. Too Many Fish In The Sea was penned by Norman Whitfield and Eddie Holland. The original version way recorded by the all-female band The Marvelettes (watch the Youtube video) who flourished in the 60s. Phil’s version of the song will not be included in Going Back, but is a kind of session B-track.
Phil Collins Debutalbum became a classic of the 80ies and is probably his best album to date.
