Wait... The singer of the band is NOT the genius who is single-handedly responsible for the creative direction???

If you're referring to my examples of Monkey, Big Time, Steam and Growing Up...I suppose what I mean by that is "up tempo for Peter Gabriel." ;)
I suppose at the end of the day the term up tempo could also be defined not only by BPM, but also in terms of the level of energy and/or "boisterousness" (if that's a word-nevertheless I think you take my meaning there) of the song.

That only affects soundboards, OAMs and studio demos from the three man era, radio broadcasts are fine and can still be found in all the usual places.
Christian posted the thread Seven Phil Collins studio albums available again with original artwork.
Not really a news for the fans, but Concord/Warner will bring back seven Collins solo albums (all except Going Back) next January. It's the 2015/16 Remaster but the cover artwork is back to what it was.

Yes indeed, plenty of hits came from Mike's ideas. Also Shipwrecked on CAS, another "minor" hit, it was at least a single.
It's always strange when people say Genesis became too much the Phil Collins band. That is just not true. Mike wrote a lot of hit singles, Tony again came up with great song ideas the other two put in shape and even the ballads people tend to credit to Phil are often Banks (In too deep, Hold on my heart).
