Display MoreThe point of this game is to quote a line (or two) from a Genesis song that begins with the last letter from the immediate previous poster.
Example:
"I'm on my guard with all the exits sealed" (from "No Reply At All" - you don't need to give the origin unless you want to)
can have a reply like
"Demi-god and nymph are now made one" (from "The Fountain Of Salmacis")
If a line ends with "e", and you don't want to use "e", try to use the letter before the "e" (since it is the most common vowel) - e.g., "No time for romantic escape" (from "Back in N.Y.C.") for the previous line - otherwise, treat the "e" as a wild card and use any line you wish to continue.

Well, hmmm...what do we think?
The point of the thread like this is, by seeing everyone's responses, it helps us to appreciate the lyrics of the band that we are all here to celebrate. It's funny that there are certain lyrics that have slipped my mind, but when I see them written out, it helps me appreciate the song again, and by extension, the band again.
Is the better way forward to have a separate thread for the lyrics from solo works from the members, or do we want to include them here? (FWIW, I kind of like keeping it Genesis-centric - that's what was intended when I started the thread. But, I would yield to group consensus if there were a strong feeling to include solo works here. IMHO, I think that's a good idea for a thread - but perhaps a separate one?)
