Potentially interesting. Do we know if, seeing as it goes from 76, it therefore doesn't just cover all 'standard' album/single releases but includes eg Strawberry Fields, Bully For You, etc?

not sure which tracks exactly, but the press text (see our linked news piece) suggests the book deals with tracks beyond the album tracks also.

Hi, Luca Perasi here!
"Strawberry Fields Forever" and "Bully for You" are both included in the book.
We deal also with tracks "beyond" the albums. Each chapter has sections like "OTHER SONG FROM THE SESSIONS", "OTHER SONGS FROM THE PERIOD" and "UNRELEASED TRACKS" (when applicable).
The total of tracks included is 223 (as per the press release), 18 of which are the unreleased ones we selected.

Thanks Luca, that's interesting.
I've always liked the idea of a Revolution In The Head style of approach to a book about Genesis. It sounds like you've made one with perhaps a similar approach to PG.

This is the classic "reference book". We have tried to collect the best sources - including new ones, when it comes to the interviews we conducted - so to put together an overview of Peter's songs. We do not deal with gossip and stuff. Also, we focus on his writing style and there's a bit of song structure analysis, without being too complex. The book has an historical approach more than wanting to assess or judge. We think that Peter is an oustanding artist and songwriter and that's our "tribute".

"...the classic"? Now, assuming your term is as a result of (mis)translation, that makes me curious about how you arrived at the English language version of this volume.
Sounds interesting, but I will wait for reviews before I buy this book.
Always nice to have something new to read and discover. Ordered!
thanks!
Is the author planning a French version of the book? Did he find an editor in France who could be interested?
Maybe ths one:
