I have the 5.1 of A Night At The Opera too!
What are you listening to right now?

Didn't know Blue Jays was released in 5.1 format.
It hasn't. It was released in pure quad back in the 70's, and someone has converted it to 5.1, but the centre channel is silent.

Yesterday I discovered that John Lodge did not appear on the non album (albeit added as bonus on cd) song Blue Guitar. Even more surprising is that Justin had the original 10cc playing on it and adding background vocals.

Yes, all true, and recorded around 1973 at Strawberry Studios in Stockport, a studio I can proudly say I've been in, though sadly not until 1983, long after 10cc had gone and it had changed name. Justin was big friends with the band (Dreadlock Holiday was inspired by a mugging he and Eric were on the wrong end of in Jamaica while their families were on holiday together) and they just wanted a song to record. Justin had one!
The Justin Hayward compilation "All the way" includes the raw version they made there, the single had added guitar and strings recorded by the Halle Orch.
If you want the surround sound edition, get it here: https://dreamingspiresquadarch…ard-john-lodge-blue-jays/ - It'll cost you $3.50, and you'll need a torrent app, microtorrent will do it for free. https://www.utorrent.com/utweb-index

Me too! Love listening to this, even though I'm not a huge Queen fan.

Fabulous space rock! Thanks, Noni

Just finished listening to the re-released SACD 5.1 surround of Pink Floyd’s “Wish You Were Here”.
Yes, I feel like I listened to it properly for the very first time tonight - my goodness, this is one to have.

Led Zeppelin's How The West Was Won.

Steve Hackett - At The Edge Of Light, 5.1 surround. Currently on track 4, and as 3 of the first 4 are tracks that have been on YouTube, I've heard most of this before. Track 1 started in the "World Music" rut but moved on and improved. So far, maybe an improvement over Night Siren, lets hope it keeps it up. Will let you know.

So, probably a bit better then Night Siren, but it's only 1 first listen, so...…………….
One very good track though, Descent, is basically finally doing a proper job with the intro of Can't Let Go!
