Just heard this new song for the first time and I'm blown away. It's called "Golden Embers" by the band Mandolin Orange.

Beagle Music Ltd. - Daydream
Never knew about that song. Project (two producers with a pool a session musicians) has landed a hit through an advertisement spot (Like Ice In The Sunshine for Langnese) and tries to do a follow-up single, song becomes a trivial Sunday morning radio muzak thing, in need for a 12'' edit they let their session guys turn the thing into a real jam session after the 4:00 mark, guitarist comes up with a monster of a solo you'd never expect in that kind of song. One of the rare times both my 80's pop nostalgia as well as my admiration for skilled musicians is turned on

John Illsley's new album "Coming up for air". John was a member of Dire Straits and has released a couple of nice albums. I like the new one.

I have never heard any of Illsley's solo work, and I am the Dire Straits fanatic on this board. Thanks for the recommendation.

One of (at least) two...
However, I defer to your fandom of Mark’s solo work - you are more enthusiastic here about that.
