And, of course: Poor Skeleton Steps Out - XTC
Song titles that mention body parts
-
-
Hand In Hand - Phil Collins
-
Which leads to the inevitable reply from me, which is
Hand In Hand - Dire Straits
-
Please ignore if you feel uncomfortable with the mentioning of certain body parts. I found this sorry effort of a song on an old compilation CD (circa 1995).
Short dick man - 20 Fingers
(Yes, it should have been forgotten, I agree)
Who's it by?
-
-
So far our song body consists of:
head
eyes
hands
legs
feet
toe
lip
tongue
face
skin
teeth
back
knuckle
Male and female 'naughty bits'
Other bones and internal organs:
bones
skeleton
brain
heart
liver
lungs
stomach
blood
So he/she has the ability to walk, think, breathe, digest.
I'd like to embargo any further offerings of eyes, heart and hands.
Additional internal organs especially welcome.
I'd like to offer up a part-time body part in that it appears and vanishes:
Sat In Your Lap - Kate Bush
-
Who's it by?
The people (I hesitate to call them a "band" or a "project") call themselves 20 Fingers... the song is called "Short dick man". There, I said it

Ah right I hadn't actually realised what you did there and with the Iggy Pop one to be discreet. Well, thanks for being the one to give us those organs!

Pancreas - Weird Al Yankovic

Pancreas - Weird Al Yankovic
Good one!
Hairstyle of the Devil - Momus (which precedes, but is less well-known than, the equally tonsorial Devil's Haircut by Beck).
Brothers In Arms - Dire Straits
Big Bottom - Spinal Tap (well they did release a couple of albums but we can always substitute Fat Bottomed Girls by Queen if necessary be need be)
-
The Ballad of Peter Pumpkinhead - XTC
Poor Skeleton Steps Out - XTC
No Language in Our Lungs - XTC
Knuckle Down -XTC
I've found Genesis and XTC fans often overlap and I wondered how many others there were here apart from you and me. And whether it'd be worth an XTC thread in the Other Bands forum.
It would be a good place for me to further bring the two bands together by describing my twitter exchange with Andy Partridge... about Genesis.
....or maybe you can let me know if I already did that on the old board!
-
Arms Around You - Scapeland Wish
-
In Any Tongue - David Gilmour
-
Don't Want No Foo-Foo Haircut On My Head - Mojo Nixon

I think it would be worth a thread, in fact, I was thinking of starting a "XTC top ten" once I've had time to work mine out!

Down On My Knees - Bread
-
Hand in Hand - from the new Paul McCartney album
-
Boogie In Your Butt - Eddie Murphy
-
Eyes Without A Face - Billy Idol
-
It would be great to swerve the eyes, hands and hearts, we have more than a conference hall full of giant clams, Durgas and time lords. Then again I suppose there aren't many songs with titles like In Your Throat or Baby You Broke My Spleen. But good call on knees and butt above.
Just thought of a Genesis one - Hairs on the Arms & Legs. Three in one, not bad.
