I'm listening my way through old episodes of BBC Radio 4 show Chain Reaction. In each show two celebrities meet, one interviews the other, and in the next show the previous interviewee then interviews someone else, and so on.
The other day I listened to TV producer John Lloyd interview comedian Phill Jupitus. At one point they discussed music videos and Lloyd mentioned doing the Land Of Confusion one using the Spitting Image puppets (he was producer on that show). He mentioned storyboarding the video during which he had this phone conversation with Phil Collins:
JL: What does this line mean?
PC: What do you mean, 'what does it mean'?
JL: Well... erm... I just wondered what it means...
PC: I dunno. Doesn't mean anything. It's just a song.
JL: Okay.
I found this very amusing, and somehow quite pleasing that PC would be so belligerently detached.
