Dear oh dear...
My first thought was this is an April Fool’s joke – but I am going to assume it isn’t.
I love the original album. In fact, I rate it higher than even some Genesis albums.
But Mike never seemed all that keen on it – and that’s where he and I are worlds apart.
I’ll be curious to hear the results of his re-interpretation, but I’m not a great fan of anything Mike has done on his own since SD, so I couldn’t be more sceptical.
I'm going to assume it is! (An April Fool joke)
Well, I nearly ....
But no, when it got to the "never say never" bit, I thought this was a joke. Late, but in time
My most favourite Genesis solo cd.
I treasure my copy.
Just in case you are still excited - it was obviously an April fool's trick ...
Given that he has never even considered risking the cost of a remaster, I guessed so!
All we need is Nick Davies to produce a 5.1 surround version of the original. Simples!

That's unfortunately NOT the only thing we need. For many reasons:
1) They need to be willing to invest some money to do that
2) They need to find a record company to do so - or do it on their own
3) Mike needs to be in favor of it
Point 3 seems a bit unlikely at the moment.
So, i was listening to an interview with M&tM online a week or so ago, and they interviewer told Mike about the April Fool's joke, and that it generated a LOT of interest. Mike seemed surprised and didnt say NO, at least, when asked about it. I apologize for forgetting who did the interview (it could have been this site and for that i humbly apologize if so).

indeed, I did the interview
Ahh! That was you. OK, i have the connection now. Maybe someone can put together a list of all the active "Genesis fan" sites/services and sort it all out for me.
So let me say, your strategy was brilliant. At first, it seemed like you were just trolling us fans, but now i see your master plan. If Mike does go back and remaster/re-release Smallcreep's Day, we may have you to ultimately thank.
That was the news item

We clearly marked it as an April Fool's trick a day later. That was really fun and as you said, it triggered some interest that we knew was there anyway, so it made sense to tell Mike about it.
We have plenty of stuff on our site. Just go to our main site https://www.genesis-news.com (a link is also on the top left in this form as part of the menu). There were plenty of additions recently. On the right you find latest additions of articles and interviews. In the middle you have the news. Or browse the artists on the left, then submenus appear with more options.

For a list of forums etc, you could do worse than Steve Hackett's links page!
Couldn't resist resurrecting the Smallcreep's Day 'remix issue' after the recent amazing Rocking Horse Club gig at Trading Boundaries.
The tracks sung by Noel McCalla were absolutely superb and reminded me once again that this album is crying out for the Nick Davies 5.1 surround sound treatment.
There must be some way to get Mike and Cherry Red on board with this. Any ideas? Anybody? Crowdfunding?
I think it would be a great idea to do that! Mike could do a special version with a remaster and a new recording of the songs.
