Face It Alone - Queen
Just released today. Good to hear Freddie It was originally recorded back in 1988 when they were doing The Miracle, but it was never included and was forgotten.

Hawkwind - Warrior On The Edge Of Time. My introduction to Hawkwind in 1975 when a school friend lent me this great LP, and which remains my favourite Hawkwind studio album.

Over the weekend I finally watched the move from which the clips for this video of a great PG song were drawn.

Hawkwind - Roadhawks. This 1976 LP is the first of many compilations put out by Hawkwind over the decades, and was finally given a CD release in 2020 (thank you Cherry Red/Atomhenge). The final 10 minutes where Wind of Change segues into The Golden Void shows Hawkwind at their very best.

Yes - The Quest

Raindancing - studio album by Geneviève Alison Jane Moyet. Been listening to this for decades, Ordinary Girl is the best song she's written + great production.

I find this release almost unlistenable owing to the dubbed crowd noise throughout, which I gather was Rabin's doing. As a result I didn't bother getting the DVD version. Such a shame.

Suck it up, 'Phil.' Many great live albums have had the audience "sweetened" in the mix, including Wings Over America and Peter Gabriel Plays Live, plus just about every other live album ever produced. The only live albums I know of that were recorded straight to disc are Deep Purple Made In Japan and UFO Strangers In The Night. The ARW show was fabulous. Ask anyone who attended one of the gigs. I for one couldn't care less whether the audience was dubbed or not. Just sayin'...

There's a big difference between "repairs" of the music in the studio and putting superfluous crowd noise all the way through an album. Throughout the tracks and not just between them. And I'm sorry that my opinion of this clearly offended you so much. I fear for asking why you felt the need to place my name in inverted commas.

Electric Light Orchestra - Out of the Blue. One of the great albums of the 70s, from the genius that is Jeff Lynne.
