Shiny (happy people) weather.

Well... I got about a dozen warnings yesterday pertaining to a tornado risk. And today I hear a hurricane is heading our way Sunday.

Should I pencil in a plague of locusts for Tuesday?

Anyway, back to the weather.

A friend in NY was freaked out by receiving an official hurricane warning text message advising citizens to make all necessary arrangements to "preserve life". However she reports that little has happened so far and all is well, thank goodness.

That reminds me of... spreading fear... to preserve life... and little has happened...

Really hot today when sitting in the sun. Thunder and lightning to be expected.

I experienced Category 4 Hurricane Hugo in South Carolina about 30 years ago. It was scary as hell. I wish your friend a safe weekend.

Well that's just blatant unashamed fear-mongering.

Had heavy rain as expected along with a great thunderstorm. That was obvious as the last days had such a hot and humid feel.

Hope everyone in the path stays out of Hurricane Ida's harm's way.

Ditto. We lived in New Orleans when I was a youngster back in the 60s. As my mom always said “It’s a great place to visit but you wouldn’t want to live there.” All the things that made it a cool place in the eyes of my brother and me—chameleons running all over the place, snakes in the backyard, flooding deep enough we could go swimming in our front yard—made it a place of total misery for my parents.

Chilly, cloudy, rain and more rain. It's offically Fall...

Here in NZ. Had some massive storms blow through the upper north island. Many flooded areas.

Sunny but windy at the moment. Hope it gets better.... in fact... It's gonna get better....

Sunny early autumn day - it's still very warm in the sun, but cool in the shadows, and there's this "summer's over" break in the air.
