Yes, promising by any means. I guess by now they are as much picking their own favourites as much as the fans' ones. I'm fine with whatever they will go for.
[SPOILERS] GENESIS 2021 setlist discussion

I don't know if anyone else saw but someone posted a "leaked rehearsal setlist" on the Facebook site he started called "The Last Domino Tour?". He had stated that Alan Hewitt leaked this somehow. I don't want to list it here due to the spoilers. I have to think that it's legit since Mark has always been good with getting information out.

Where do we find the recent discussion with MOJO Magazine? Is it the printed issue or a digital one?
Thanks
Paul

They'd better not!
Not a fan of the song then? Apologies if you have given reasons for this before.

Oh I've droned on elsewhere about my dislike of MMM but really no need to apologise! Right from first hearing the album in the late 70s I've never liked this track but I'm aware it has a number of fans here. Even with some of the quite surprising possibilities we're hearing about I still find it very unlikely they'll dig this one up.

Can you post it using the spoiler function? I can't find that facebook page, maybe even a link to which page it's on.

That looks pretty close to me. They might decide to drop In The Cage as in favour of some different older songs. My guess would be:
~Set 1~
Turn it On Again
No Son of Mine
That's All
Land of Confusion
Home By The Sea (first part only?)
Follow You Follow Me
Abacab
Throwing it all Away
Jesus He Knows Me
~Set 2~
Dance on a Volcano
Lamb Lies Down on Broadway
Squonk
Man on the Corner
Domino
I Can't Dance
Tonight Tonight Tonight
Invisible Touch
~Encore~
Misunderstanding
I Know What I like
For me the setlist could be like this :
Set 1
Domino
Land Of Confusion
That's All
In The Cage/Cinema Show/ Slippermen/Reading the Screen/It/Afterglow
Jesus He Knows Me
Shipwrecked or Alien Afternoon or Calling All Stations
Silver Rainbow
In Too Deep
Blood On The Rooftops
I Know What I Like
~Set 2~
No Son Of Mine
Eleven Eart Of Mar
Burning Rope
Home By The Sea or Fading Lights
Old Medley including Exerps from Musical Box, The Knife and Supper’s Ready
Drum Duet/Los Endos
Congo
Invisible Touch
Encore
Throwing It All Away
I Can’t Dance
Turn It On Again/Dukes End/Ending

Display MoreDuring the 2007 tour, the accent was put on the rediscovery of the album Invisible Touch and on the hits of Genesis, keen to make a retrospective setlist of the whole career of the group. it would be interesting if they left this time Throwing It All Away, Tonight Tonight and this kind of songs (very good but already played a lot and available on 3 different DVDs) to give a chance to less known titles or not replayed since long time. That's all and Jesus he knows was for me the big ones missing from the 2007 setlist, I hope to see these two songs in the setlists. It might be nice to hear one of Duke's ballads live once (Alone Again, Heathhaze or Please Don't Ask), and after Ripples' return in 2007, why not Burning Rope in 2020? Regarding the 80s repertoire, I am amazed that Silver Rainbow, my favorite song from the album Mama and in my opinion the best on the record has ever been sung. I would also see a return of Illegal Alien to change Land Of Confusion or I can't dance in the barred but great titles category. It would be nice if they sang anything She Does once (the only song from my favorite album unless I ever heard it live). As for Calling All Stations, I would love to hear Phil sing Congo and Shipwrecked, his particular timbre would transform these songs into real pop-prog nuggets, putting them on an equal footing with the hits of 1987 and 1991. To change Home By The Sea, already very much highlighted (present on 4 DVDs) I would like very much that they sing the Dividing Line, in my opinion the best sequel of the post-Duke era, this title is a Domino in 1000 times better, a Home By The Sea power 4, and with Phil at the microphone Dividing Line would be 10 minutes of pure happiness, it would transcend the lyrics worn by the inflated rutjerford statocaster and Banks' roaring keyboards. On the side of We Can 'Dance, I was surprised that in 1991 Dreaming While You Sleep (one of the titles that I like least of all the Collins period) was put forward while it is not very melodic and instrumentally poor, while this disc contains, in addition to No Son and Hold On My Heart, magnificent songs never interpreted: Never A Time, Tell Me Why and Livin Forever, I would love to hear one of these 3 titles live. The songs I'm 100% sure to see in the 2020 setlist are Land Of Confusion, No Son Of Mine, Invisible Touch, Tonight Tonight Tonight, I Can't Dance and Domino, which this time could be the song of opening of the concert. I think there will most likely be Mama (although absent in 1992), Turn It On Again and Los Endos, and Home By The Sea (Unfortunately still this good title but heard a lot, I would prefer The Dividing Line or Fading Lights ). If Apocalypse intervenes, it will probably be in the context of a Medley and in instrumental form, I can hardly see this theatrical title appearing in the middle of nowhere, out of the Gabriel context. Blood On The Rooftops would be great on stage, it would be a bit of an echo to Ripples in 2007 in the rediscovered category of pre-Duke titles. It would be interesting to see who will play which guitar part (maybe Stuermer on the electrified nylon guitar or programmed Variax, and Rutherford with the double neck guitar?).
Whoever wrote this is an idiot.

Uh... It could be. But it won't be. Even for me, who is down on the band for being too conservative and staid, this setlist is beyond wacky. Two CAS songs, silver rainbow and burning rope? (Nb I watched most of the mama tour on YouTube tonight though and was very impressed, I had forgotten how great they were. Abacab, mama, home by the sea and keep it dark are awesome on that show. I still wish they played another Genesis song instead of the medley of other people's songs on turn it on again).
I'm going to make a playlist just out of curiosity for how insane this setlist looks like to see what it sounds like.

I agree but maybe what Shipwrecked meant is "I'd like it to be this". Which is fair enough, you have a setlist thread and people will post what they'd like it to be. But yeah it's as likely as.... well, as that setlist. Any CAS, let alone including Alien Afternoon and having Congo as the penultimate main set number, is a crazy notion. But hey, in this thread I think you can come off the leash!
Maybe we could start a Least Likely Setlist theme. "We decided to do an album showcase and we're delighted to tell you we'll be playing From Genesis To Revelation from start to finish!"

beyond wacky
Ah.... Beyond Wacky. I saw them supporting Gang Of Four at the Electric Ballroom in 1984. (They weren't very good).

Now, that's just ridiculous. If you're not going to take this seriously there's no point. There's absolutely no chance they'd play Digby.
Is Going Out To Get You the one with the preposterous lyrics including "licking fingers sunk in jam"?

The very same.

I believe you have to search for and join the Facebook Group "Genesis - The Last Domino? Tour 2020". There is a photo on there of the rehearsal setlist from New York. It was said to be originally leaked by Alan Hewitt so it is assumed to be pretty authentic. I don't know if Mark Bataitis would like to comment on that further as he may know more about it. I don't want to post the picture here since or type out the songs since I'm not sure how to use the spoiler function.

Oh yes, this would be fun. I'd have Banjo Man or Supper's Ready in for return of the giant hogweed though.

Here is the link to the group that Mark posted last month:
GENESIS - The Last Domino? Tour
there already is one https://www.facebook.com/groups/1294788680555666/?ref=share
They just changed the name of the group that has existed for years, it isn't new.

Wouldn't it be brilliant if they could recreate the 4 sets from Mrs. Balmes dance in 1970 or whatever.
Me personally would be deeply moved by a starting Squonk one more time. No backing tapes. No introduction. On come Genesis, they wander to their instruments smiling and grinning. Then...
SQUONK!
