Actually I am getting a bit tired of those "Genesis Revisited" tours. I am not that familiar with his solo stuff but would go see him if he did just that (for a change).

Three shows in Zoetermeer / NL were announced today for July 2024. The tour will kick off in Mainland Europe next summer.
Oh, that's a surprise! I thought he'd do Mainland Europe after the UK. Anyway, good for us...
Just in case you missed that:
The Cardfiff show had to be rescheduled after the closure of the venue due to problems with the building that need to be taken care of.
Steve writes on his website

A show in Brussels was added for 2nd July. Might be one for me

I understand the sentiment but he's found that "sweet spot" with these tours and unlikely to change the formula, especially at (nearly) age 74. He would be playing to much smaller crowds if he focused solely on solo stuff. That being said, I have been following Steve (solo) since nearly Day 1 and have seen a lot of those earlier tours and they were fantastic, with virtually no Genesis in the setlist (then again, he was in his late 20s and early 30s). I consider myself lucky to still be able to see him at this age, not to mention mine!
Steve has added another show to his 2024 summer leg: 1st July in Paris
After three sold out shows - 4th show for Zoetermeer announced!

I recommend to check out this venue when you can. A really great place for shows and it's rather small, so quite intimate.
I would love to see him perform the new album in the solo part of the show (41 minutes). I would like to see him now switch to his solo stuff after all the Genesis related shows which I have enjoyed. It feels like time for him to showcase his own material.

erm ... I thought he'd play more Lamb stuff actually. And more from his new album.
So, the concert in Dresden is now also a thing of the past
It was moved from the "Ostra Dome" to "Tante Ju", a cult live club in the north of Dresden / industrial area, where Ray Wilson and David Rhodes have also performed. Steve, however, was playing open air and my fears that it would be some kind of car park were fortunately not fulfilled, in fact it was a very rustic area directly behind the club.
Rough estimate and based on the rows of chairs (all seats occupied plus some standing) there must have been around 1,000 people in the end. Concerts in Leipzig AND Dresden are always difficult because it's only an hour away. Anyway - all good.
The sound was impressive - really good. The view was also great. There was also sunshine on stage for the first few hours.
The concert itself was one of the better ones I've seen from Steve. The joy of playing was great and the atmosphere in the band was super. The solos by Jonas and Craig were also fantastic.
Shadow of the Hierophant remains his signature track for me and it's a shame that it didn't become a Genesis track.
For me, Steve's trip to Dresden was once again particularly nice. On Sunday we (me and my partner) picked up Steve and Jo in their hotel Leipzig and went on a nice trip with them (apparently Jo Hacketts grand grand father comes from a village close to Leipzig, which we then visited, along with Moritzburg castle close to Dresden). On Monday we were invited to the band & crew dinner. On the way there we picked up Jonas Reingold, who was looking a bit lost on his way to the wrong restaurant. In the evening we had some great conversations - and an old acquaintance. Alec Morris quickly approached me and said ‘hey, we know each other’ - and, yes! on the day, he had lit the lights for the Carpet Crawlers in Welkers in 2017.
Later, we had a beer with Jonas, Rob Townsend, Alec and Ben Fenner at Watzke Dresden, right by the Goldener Reiter. The band and crew really enjoyed the two days off in Dresden.
Before the concert we were able to chat with Steve and Jo backstage and at the concert I saw many familiar faces from our German forum.
I was especially happy to see my old pal Johannes again, who was in town with his family and spent the evening with us.
Next stop: Loreley!
I'm not from Canada or the USA, but it's kind of strange that Steve hasn't announced any concerts in North America yet. He will be playing on the Cruise To The Edge anyway, so more shows there are obvious.

I read somewhere that an announcement will follow shortly.

Thanks for sharing - saw one of the Zoetermeer shows and was very happy. I hope to see another one this autumn!
