STEVE HACKETT - A Genesis In My Bed - Book discussion

Poor Steve....without the Genesis brand behind he can't even sell books.....orrible title....

What is that title all about. Very strange.

Yes that is an appallingly bad title.

I've also pre-ordered it, but I agree about the title.

Well, it's not strange, it's rubbish. Vanadium Ego, Squarely would be strange (and much better. Why don't these people ever consult me?). But yes, what's on the pages counts more than what's on the cover and I'll be ordering one.

I will order this in English, the German translations of Phil's and Mike's books were so poor I'm not gonna waste money on another German translation of a Genesis autobiography.

Oh dear. I never thought of that. What a shame to think of Genesis fans in non-English speaking territories being short-changed like that.

Actually Mark, more like 10 years. Our sister website interviews him occasionally, over the years its been a project he would discuss for 5 minutes towards the end of most interviews. Now its finally being realised.

Steve is being elusive over the meaning of the title, although he was auditioned by Tony Banks and Peter Gabriel in his bedroom.

The title refers to something a woman exclaimed during an amorous encounter with Steve, and the story is in the book.

I have to say I'm relieved to finally know what the title means. It sounds good - hopefully my copy will arrrive soon.

Ditto to the title. It sounded awful out of context, but now...….

Having read that review, I may now go ahead and buy it myself.

When is this going to be released?

24th July, I think.

Pre-ordered too.

I'm happy to wait for a cheaper paperback edition.
