I'm excited to hear how Steve Hackett's shows go with the first night of the tour being tomorrow night.

Love the setlist from the first night of the tour although I do miss Blood on The Rooftops. Also, wonder if Steve considered adding Squonk to the encore. A Volcano/Squonk/Endos medley would be a killer end to the show.
-
Great setlist. I may have to reconsider my decision not to bother this tour
Best wishes

He plays 'The virgin and the gypsy!'
This is from Spectral Mornings.
My most favourite Hackett song. He has not played this before to my knowledge.
Very happy.

Who sang More Fool Me?
Nad sings all songs from Selling

I liked your post, but somehow I don't like the fact.
(On the other hand, Nad really impressed me with Icarus Ascending, a track I didn't really care for until I heard the live version a few years ago.)
-
Let’s not be picky. He’s entitled, he’s having fun and making a living. The band are great and the Genesis stuff sounds superb. Nad is a little underpowered at times but he is never put centre stage and is clearly meant to compliment the music and not dominate it. I’d like to see Steve do more of his own classics a so it seems to me that if he does a classic Genesis album, a classic Hackett album and a few new ones all one show, what’s not to like? So I’m really looking forward to the show.

I saw them last night! My first ever Steve Hackett concert. I am really impressed, I enjoyed everything. My only wish would have been the flute solo in Firth of Fifth would have been played on an actual flute; the soprano sax sounded very beautiful and fitting, just the flute would have been the original instrument and he could easily have played it. But that aside I was blown away.
