Genesis rehearsing in London right now?

  • Could you please be so kind to quote the part of the article that makes that claim about Genesis rehearsing? I tried to find it, honestly I could not make myself read the full article - this is exactly that yellow press bullcrap I avoid like the plague. I would not be surprised if everything they say is made up.

  • "Yellow press" is a new one on me - never heard that term before (that I can recall)

We Germans call this kind of journalism "rainbow press", which describes it quite well.

First we learned to walk on water.

    Then we tried something harder.

  • So it's just another Collins ex-wife thing, mentioning that he's rehearsing in London and by association implying it's for the Genesis tour.

Nothing to see here, move along.

    Abandon all reason

  • Well I read through the full article and somehow I wished I hadn’t bothered (As he quickly runs to the local newsagents to buy Hello Magazine and whatever else irrelevant claptrap he can find).

But what would he be rehearsing for, if not for the Genesis tour?

They must be rehearsing because they're touring in six months.

You think? I can't see these shows getting the go ahead until at least the summer next year with dates pencilled in for the end of the year.

Unless this government changes it's approach or a tried and tested vaccine is in place, the3se shows will not happen.

  • Forget about any touring for at least a good year, it won't be possible. But, what if, in the meantime, Genesis did something live on You Tube?

I agree, there will have to be a major turnaround in the current situation, bordering on miraculous, for gigs to go ahead in at least the first half of 2021 if not all of it.

Any acts announcing 2021 tours now might possibly be able to plan them as suitably distanced events but the Genesis big arena gigs, substantially booked out, can't go ahead as things currently stand.

I can't imagine them doing video gigs but I'd like them to give it a try.

Of course it will happen. Really looking forward to it.

  • How much would a streamed event be?, probably a lot more than the current £15-£20 ($18-$23) average. Like everything related to this tour ticket wise I’m sure it would be more like £40. To watch a live stream?. Probably a few add ins as well to boot - if you watch the stream you can buy a live bluray of the event in a velvet lined box with obi strip for £200.
