what makes you think there's won't be a new album anymore?

The 18-year gap interspersed with sporadic activity and unfulfilled talk of various projects doesn't necessarily mean there will never again be a proper PG album... But it feels like the odds are building against it.

I believe he will eventually put out a final new album and then that will be it. Maybe.

If he does, I wonder if he'll still go with I/O as the title!

So, after years of exploring the past and doing orchestra stuff, now it’s time for new new new music. I know there were hints some years ago a new album might be in the final mixing stage l, but I believe Peter’s wife also got sick back then.

I also believe Peter will at least do one more tour. But for me, a new album is more important.

What do you think? Will we see a new studio album? And when?

Let's re-ignite our hopes again! Hasn't any Genesis activity so far been followed by a new release from Peter within only a few months?

Here's some evidence ...

16 Nov 2009: Genesis release the last in their series of boxes, the "Genesis Movie Box 1981-2007".

12 Feb 2010: Peter releases "Scratch My Back".

2 Nov 1999: Genesis release "The Carpet Crawlers 1999".

12 Jun 2000: Peter releases "OVO".

7 May - 2 Aug 1992: Genesis tour across North Amerika und Europe.

29 Sep 1992: Peter releases "Us".

I'd love it but it feels like he took a page from Billy Joel's playbook. Not expecting anything.

What's Peter doing these days anyway? Has he retired, or is he still very much Real World's main man?
